There are both pros and cons with gentrification. Look at Williamsburg for example. I completely agree that Bed-Stuy has a unique history and vibrant present which draws me to this neighborhood in the first place. But it will not keep this neighborhood from becoming gentrified and all my tee shirt is meant to do is bring awareness. There are two new apartment complexes built on Bedford Ave. already, surely going to raise the property value (maybe later than sooner in this economic crisis) and attract a new class of residents and ultimately push out the older residents. By the way, I am completely aware Fort Greene is not neighboring Bed-Stuy and that Clinton Hill is. It's meant to sound ridiculous, just as ridiculous as all the mis-categorized postings on Craigslist or other housing sites. thank you for your consideration.
